QuickStart is a series of 11 weekly classes designed to acquaint the novice investor with real estate investing fundamentals. View our Calendar to see which class is coming up this week.

QuickStart classes meet every Tuesday evening at the JaxREIA Office, located at 103 Century 21 Drive, Suite 202. Click here for a map. The instructor begins promptly at 7:00pm and runs until 9:00pm. If you would like to network, we encourage you to arrive at 6:30pm. We will not have food, so please plan accordingly.

Our weekly QuickStart Series is as follows

QS 1: Finding Your Path Through the Real Estate Maze
Instructor: Joe Locklear

What will you do TODAY to change the future for the better? In this class, you will explore various strategies for making money through smart real estate investments.

QS 2: Finding All the Deals You Want Using Subject to, Short Sales and Foreclosures!
Instructor: Lisa Broward and Mike Whiffen

This class focuses on the many ways to find deals. It is organized into sections, starting with letting someone else find the deals for you and other “passive” ways of finding deals (such as signs, ads, signs on cars), to the more “active” ways of finding deals (such as mailings, knocking on doors, phoning FSBO’s, etc.). It will also address the need to decide upon and understand your investment strategy and goals before deciding on the technique you want to use for "finding all the deals you want!"

QS 3: Finding the Funds in Today's Market.
Instructor: Christian Rambler & Tom Futch

Financing requires diligence in planning and staying abreast of the choices that are out there. Learn about your finance options and how your finance choices affect your Real Estate business. Understand the changes going on in today's market and how to handle it.This class will be taught in two parts. Christian will cover the traditional funding and Tom will cover hard money.

QS 4: Calculating your Return on Investment and Owner Financing

Hey, it's a numbers game! Know your financial calculator. Also learn the different types of investing!

QS 5: Sell with Lease Options and Maximize Your Profit
Instructor: Don Johnson

Learn how to make money in this market bu using lease options. Don will show you all the forms to use and what is the best way for those who cannot yet qualify for a loan in a home!

QS 6: Introduction to Making Money in Real Estate

Instructor: Mike Duprel

In this class you will learn the basics of Real Estate Investing, what to do and what not to do.

QS 7: Understanding the Ins and Outs of your Purchase and Sale Contract and Closings
Instructor: John Riebsame

QS 8: Building Wealth with Ugly Houses

QS 9: Property Renovation and Repair…The Right Way!

QS 10: Keys to becoming a Successful Landlording
Instructor: David Doyle

Learn how to select property to use as rental, screen your prospective tenants, training your tenants and not letting them train you, collect rent without knocking on their doors and using a sweep account for your rents. Dave will share his move in and move out procedures as well. Understand how to manage your rentals and save your sanity at the same time!

QS 11: Using Technology to Save You Time and Money in Your Real Estate Business!

Don't worry - this class is geared towards those who don't know much about technology!  Because most of us are not "tech whiz kids", this class will teach strategies at the beginner level.   This class will focus on teaching quick and easy ways to leverage our time and resources as real estate investors.  Don't work harder, work smarter!
