President
David Doyle

|
David bought his first rental property, a triplex, after getting out of the Navy in 1971. He moved to Kentucky in the mid 70’s where he had an automotive business and a motorsports production company. After moving to Jacksonville in 1992, he again got back into rental housing business. Putting a down payment on a few rental duplexes and letting others pay off the note looked like a good retirement plan. He has been a participant the last five years on the MrLandLord.com annual landlord conference cruise and has been recognized as one of the top contributors to the MrLandLord.com Q&A discussion board. Today he tends to his rentals, buys and sells a few properties, and moderates the JaxREIA Landlord Networking Group. |

Vice President
Curtis Newberg

|
I have been investing in real estate since the late 1980’s. My objective when I started was to retire when I was 55. Well I did retire when I was 55 and it was because of my real estate. My wife, Jaudon, retired from her job as well. We still manage our own properties. I will do other deals during the year like owner financing, lend hard money or buy a rehab, but my favorite has been lot developing. I still own the first investment property that I bought. It makes me $2000 a month with a little management. So you could say I am a long term buy and hold; free and clear investor. JaxREIA has made this all possible for me, so I love to give back by helping other investors.

His family owned rental property while he was growing up. This allowed him to learn the business at a young age, and he knew he wanted to keep investing in RE. Engineering distracted him from real estate in the 1990s, however, he could not get it out of his system, so he started seriously investing again in 2002. Mike does a mix of work, including wholesaling, rentals, retailing, and rehabs of single family, multi-family, and commercial properties. “JaxREIA has really helped me out, and I enjoy giving back.”
